Harlan Eindecker in Ottoman service

Two German Harlan monoplanes bought in 1912, sent to the front in the Balkan War and lost to the Bulgarians.

Harlan Eindecker

The Harlan Eindecker was a German single-wing reconnaissance aircraft designed, built and put into service in 1911. The Ottoman War Ministry, which was then looking for aircraft and equipment to found an air arm, bought two of them from Germany in 1912, alongside other monoplanes.

Both were sent to the front during the Balkan War, and both fell into Bulgarian hands when Ottoman forces withdrew towards Pınarhisar.
