2010 copyright The Bf110D “Nachtjager” model of the Dragon has a detailed content. Photoedge parts available in the box. However they just made the belts from photoedge for the cockpit . Control panels and other details come out in plastic.
It is useful to follow the instructions from the first page of the manual to see which sprue has the parts. Because in this model, it can be difficult to find the letters on the sprues in general. Sticking small labels on each of them is another solution.
As with most models, the construction starts with cockpit.
There is no “decal” for the control panel. Given instructions shows that the panel have to painted. That’s how I went on. After gluing some of the parts to F36, I painted it. But some of the parts painted separately.
I used Tamiya’s XF-22 RLM Gray for the entire cockpit. I’ve done a bit of aging using the dry brush method and some oil wash.
There is another section with gunmen behind this one-man pilot cabin. This part is also very detailed.
Apart from the Tamiya Xf-22, I used the colors XF-1 Black, X-10 Gun Metal and XF-10 Brown. As in the other section, I used XF-16 aluminum with “dry brush” technique to reveal the details. I completed this part with “oil wash”.
Part 2 of the instructions continues with the other details of the cockpit and the fuselage.
The weapons in the nose and those under the body are made at this stage. The point is that the nose can be made in two different ways. Weapons can be made invisibly closed. The other option is to cut the nose and leave the guns open. It is necessary to cut as smooth as possible. The extra cover for the part you cut is in the sprues.
After the internal details are finished, the body is glued. In general, the harmony of the parts is very successful. Not much space left.
