Tamiya 1/35 scale “Military Miniature Series No:219”
- Length 85mm
- Width 40mm
Tamiya’s 1997 mold kit is easy to do. Although the hood is closed, the engine detail can be made. Almost all the parts are compatible with each other. It can be done easily without using putty or sandpaper as an extra. It’s entirely up to you to paint and tumble on it.
Not to mention Tamiya’s parts quality. The contents of the box include 2 sprues, 1 trunk, transparent parts, decals and a construction scheme. In general, there are no noticeable problems with the parts. There are small traces that remain inside the body, and these are not very noticeable after making the model. Of course, if desired, these small traces can be removed by various methods.
In addition to all this, as always with Tamiya, there is a figure in this kit. A driver sitting in a relaxed pose. It consists of seven parts. (torso, arms, head and a separate helmet) Facial expression is not bad and may be suitable for most modelers to use in their dioramas.
Tamiya gives the option to make 5 different versions. It will definitely be good to choose which one to do when starting the model. Some parts may change accordingly.
I made the C version which is the 3rd option.
Used by the 7th Armored Division in Belgium in early 1945, this version featured a “wire cutter” at the front and a rear mounted machine gun.

I can recommend this model to both beginners and experienced modelers. It is a smooth and enjoyable model.
